    Michèle Aoun is a Lebanese photographer and art director whose distinct aesthetic has been shaped by the ever- changing city of Beirut: a place that continues to foster her sensibility for striking characters and her pursuit of the unusual in her artistic subject. Her ties with her city date back to the late 2000s emerging club-scene through her work at Beirut’s infamous SkyBar, being the venue’s physiognomist for 3 years: a job she credits for her highly skilled eye. Working across portraiture, fashion and documentary projects, the Lebanese image-maker sees her work as an opportunity to step into others’ worlds with empathy and sensitivity. Michèle approaches both commissioned and personal work with a heightened attention to detail. Even when working with the un-staged and impromptu, Michèle’s picture often appear flawlessly composed.   • Tony Elieh

    Tony Elieh is a musician and self-taught photographer based in Beirut. Working as a professional photographer since 2008, he specializes in architecture, fashion, food, and product photography. His work appeared in a variety of magazines and campaigns and he regularly collaborates with young local creatives - from artists and architects to design studios and music labels. He also has an impressive record of portraits from the Beirut culture scene. Musically, Tony is a bass player, co-founder of the disbanded Scrambled Eggs, and active in the improv scene both locally and beyond.     Ieva Saudargaité Douaihi is a contemporary artist working with photography, installation and various media. Her works are deeply rooted in her background in architecture and profound fascination with the built and natural environments as well as different layers of street life. Having grown up between fundamentally different geographies, Lithuania, UAE and Lebanon, ieva developed an early interest in the intricate interplay between space, environment and human interaction. Drawing inspiration from the urban and natural landscape surrounding her, ieva’s practice seeks to uncover the layers of history, culture, ecology and experiences embedded within. Experimenting with a diverse range of mediums - from image-making to mixed media and digital art - she pushes the boundaries of traditional techniques to create multi-dimensional artworks that elevate the mundane or the seemingly coincidental.   • Lorenzo Basadonna Scarpa

    Lorenzo Basadonna Scarpa is a film photographer and videomaker based in Venice Italy. Since 2006, he developed a passion for digital photography and started experimenting with this form of communication. In 2017, he began his freelance activity, focusing on the documentation of exhibitions, architecture, setup and construction processes, and performances. In the meantime, he devotes himself to personal research, using the traditional process of developing and printing gelatine-silver black-and-white images.     Interested in shadows and the value they give to an object, Elie discovered photography when he was 16, and started working in a photo lab and dark room, then as a press photographer, producing documentaries and portraits for international and local publications. As a self-taught photographer, he had the chance to discover freedom with only a camera and a film, which led to his actual career in Beirut and the Mena region.     Matteo Losurdo is an Italian photographer based in Venezia and Milano. In his work, he uses the photographic medium to investigate the relationship between human beings and space, natural and anthropized, looking for signs their activity carves in the landscape, searching for hierophanies. He is deeply interested in the connection between space, objects and people, in particular in the domestic sphere, where the possibility of shaping the environment reflects more directly the personality and habits of its inhabitants. He holds an M.A. in Architecture at Politecnico di Milano, with a thesis entitled "The Space of the Spirit", based on the relationship between architectural space and spiritual need.   • Zeina Bassil

    GRAPHIC ILLUSTRATOR

    Zeina Bassil alias Zenobie is an illustrator, stationery designer and comic artist living and working in Beirut. Her stationery line Zenobie sees the light in 2015 as a series of fine made paper collections, in tribute to modern day correspondance. In 2011, she launched the social critic fanzine La furie des glandeurs, exploring controversial themes such as the architecture and reconstruction of Beirut, migrant workers issues, Lebanese immigration and diaspora. She collaborated on numerous projects, such as the children’s book Princesse comme je veux questioning the notion of gender and equality, published at Samir editeur. One of her short stories is part of the first edition of Le Courage, a literary anthology, at Edition Grasset et Fasquelle.     Wordsmith and editor Sarah Huneidi graduated with a Master’s degree in Comparative Literature from University College Dublin, and quickly gained experience in the world of words by working as a publishing assistant at independent publishing houses in New York and London. Sarah then moved to Beirut, freelancing as a copywriter and editor for a variety of clients – from businesses to NGOS, to designers, artists and writers.     Melanie Dagher is a Beirut-based designer and creative director. After completing a Master degree in Fashion Media Production at the London College of Fashion and working for international publications such as Wallpaper Magazine,Tank Magazine, I-D or Dazed and collaborating with artists such as Juergen Teller, Oliver Hadlee Pearch, Maurizio Cattelan to name a few, she has been appointed the creative director of Aishti Magazine known as A magazine, L'Officiel Levant and the Aishti Foundation for over 5 years- which explores the fashion and art world, working across different disciplines and mediums. She now lives in Paris and works with several luxury brands and publications as a creative consultant.
