  • GALLERIE DELL'ACCADEMIA DI VENEZIA

    Gallerie dell'Accademia, is a museum housing the most important Venetian art collection dating from the 14th to 18th century, from Bellini, Giorgione, Carpaccio, Tintoretto, Véronèse, Tiepolo and others. On the occasion of the Venice Glass Week 2024 the Gallerie dell'Accademia is glad to present to the public Convito di Vetro, a monumental installation of over 100 designs in dialogue with Paolo Veronese's masterpiece "The Feast at the House of Levi", a concept by the director of the museum, Giulio Manieri Elia, it's realized in partrneship with Pentagram Stiftung and curated by Sung Moon Cho. The monumental site-specific installation will be set up on a majestic table, where a feast of glass will narrate a century of Muranese art, while also being confronted with the one painted by Veronese in 1573. Simultaneous to the exposition at the Gallerie, a series of archives related to the production of 20th Century Muranese table glass will be on show at the Glass Study Centre of the Giorgio Cini Foundation, to further complete this fascinating history.   • L'INSTITUT DU MONDE ARABE

    Chaired since 2013 by president Jack Lang, L'Institut Du Monde Arabe's mission is to highlight Arab cultures in their richness and diversity. Heritage, visual arts, performing arts, literature, languages, and human sciences are all areas that the IMA explores. In 2023, the first “Design Prize” was launched and dedicated to the excellence of design creation in the Arab world. The Design Prize aims to highlight emerging and established designers from the Arab world with a view to demonstrating know-how, productive genius, and the creation of new materials, along two major axes: tradition and innovation, and their transmission as a source of inspiration and imagination of possible futures.   • ISOLA DESIGN x ITHRA

    Thanks to its growing relations in the Middle East, Isola is excited to reveal Routes to Roots in Milan. Seen first in Saudi Arabia last November for the Conference of Creativity, Tanween 2023, Isola was initially invited by The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture - Ithra to curate the exhibition there. This collaboration now extends to Milan, marking a continued partnership with the Saudi cultural center. Routes to Roots, co-curated by Isola and Ithra, is a journey through design from the MENA regions that preserves local heritage and the Earth. The focus is on products that draw inspiration and expertise from ancestors pairing it with cutting-edge craftsmanship, in a demonstration of how emerging talents can breathe fresh life into the design landscape, bridging the gap between tradition and innovation.   • ALCOVA

    Milan, Italy

    Alcova is an experimental prototype for an itinerant cultural institution in development by Space Caviar and Studio Vedèt. Currently operating as a roving platform for art and design across multiple sites in and around Milan, it activates forgotten locations and spaces of historical significance, temporarily recasting them as venues for performative activities. During Fuorisalone 2019 Alcova will occupy two sites and will be intensely programmed for the event's duration with performances, exhibitions, talks, screenings and installations involving over a dozen partners from as many countries. It will become a platform for designers, institutions, galleries and companies working at the avant-garde of themes such as contemporary living, design culture, materials and technological innovation.     Collective for Architecture Lebanon (CAL) is a non-profit organization established in 2019 in Beirut.
