VENICE 2602 - Apartment
Chromatic Lagoon
The renovation of this Venetian apartment was to respectfully maintain its traditional aspects while adapting it to a contemporary lifestyle, thus resulting into a harmonious culmination of heritage meets modernity.
A colorful and vibrant home in the heard of the Venetian Lagoon, the walls are predominantly made in “Marmorino”, a Venetian type of stucco and plaster which mimics the Lagoon’s water movement and reflection. Skylight Blue and Green Lagoon were the chosen colors of the living areas, inspired by the wonders of Venice - its waters and sky, further immersing yourself while indoors. Authentic Venetian “Terrazzo” floor and large wooden ceiling beams dating back from the late 1700’s were restored. The kitchen, the heart and soul of the house where all gatherings take place around cooking and eating in a joyful and light atmosphere of pink terracotta inspired by Venice’s sunset colors, pink glass lamp posts on the streets reflecting beautiful and subtle pink hues at night, as well as the architecture of pink buildings all throughout the island. The bedroom is painted in mint green and a red alcove framing a window overlooking the private courtyard. Other daring colors are yellow for the lemon summer vibes and violet for the sunsets.
